Week 32: Hudson Honors

The most interesting part of this class was probably when we did the witch trials and we got to do the skit. That was probably my favorite because one Quinton was wearing a wig that actually made him look like he had long hair. Two because we brought in a turtle and while we were doing the skit Soph stepped on him. My least favorite part of this class would be for sure the midweeks and grammar test. Those are literally the death of me, and it makes me really tired and kills my vibe for the rest of the hour. The hardest I laughed in this class would be either when we were talking about equal rights and Evan said that equal rights were everyone being able to pee standing up. Or when Kelsie and I were talking about her thinking Hariet Tubman rode on a train, when she was actually talking about Rosa Parks on the bus. The best thing about Hudson as a teacher would be that she likes to have fun and laugh with us. Also Hudson could improve this class by making midweeks more fun or something because man I almost fell asleep during them every time. Overall I really have enjoyed my sophomore year for English, and some how I managed to survive.

Week 31: Words from the Wise

Well from these two past years of high school, the only advice I really have is to not be afraid to try new things and do what makes you happy and not what makes others happy. I would say don't be afraid to try and do new things because you'll never know if you like/dislike something until you try it. When I first came into high school I didn't want to be involved in student council , CASA, or any other clubs. Now after trying it I really liked them all! My other advice, do what makes you happy and not what makes other happy is probably the best advice you'll hear. For example, I played softball and track during the same season pretty much to make my coaches happy and I felt pressured into it. However, now I'm realizing that it's just affecting my time for track in the long run and isn't making me happy. Also it's most important to make sure that others are happy, but never forget about yourself! Oh also don't care about what people have to say about you. If you like it, then keep those features!

Week 30: Well aren't you Lucky

Dang, I'm going to be super lucky today, and I think I know exactly what I am going to do. First I am going to go shopping and ask mom for a whole bunch of new clothes, and of course she is going to say yes. Next I am going to go down and get my license early, and because I have such good luck they didn't see my birth certificate very well and indeed I did get it. Then after this I go home and ask mom for $100 more dollars and she gave me the money. Now I am here with my license, with a whole bunch of money, and what do I do? That's easy first I go pick up Tyrus and we hang out together for a bit, go to smoothie king, and then go back to my house. Oh, how could I forget that I have a track meet? So I get all my stuff and we head to my track meet. I was really hoping I would get new PR's in pretty much all my events because I was feeling lucky. First it was the 4x100, we ran our personal best of 51.99 which was state qualifying time! After this we ran the 4x200 and got another PR of 1:55, not good enough for state, but was better than what we usually run. Then my final running event, the 4x400. Usually we get around 4:30 but today we got 4:20, and it was the same time that we were running last year! A really big improvement from the 4:55 we had going at the beginning of the year! However we can't forget my one field event... discus. Averaging 73 ft, I threw 88 that time, not good enough to win against the giant girls, but luckily it was still good enough to place 6th! Before I knew it, the day was over and my lucky was fading away. Overall it was a great day, and I was glad I could spend it the way I did!

Week 29: Despite All His Rage, He is Still Just Nicholas Cage

Nicholas Cage just showed up to our school asking me to help him find his treasures, and he promised me half of his findings. So we have the map here and the treasure is somewhere in Washburn, wow everywhere in the world it's in this tiny little town. Anyways there's 3 places where the treasure could be hiding, under the bridge in the water at the park, in the barn by the school, or under a corn field somewhere. Well it was under the bridge in the water at the park or in the barn by the school, so it's in under a corn field somewhere. Wow, now we have to figure out which one it is. So it took us awhile with a metal detector, but we found out that it the one right next to the school. So we started digging and digging and after around 3 days, we finally found it. Nicholas Cage kept his word and we did share half of the treasure. What was the treasure you ask? It was two  gift cards to smoothie king that will give you free smoothies for life! Dang. I couldn't have been any happier, IT WAS THE BEST DAY EVER.

week 28: Dumb Laws

One of my favorite dumb laws would probably be in Chicago, it's legal to protest naked in front of city hall as long as you are under the age of 17 and have a legal permit. Okay, first of all like why would you want to protest naked in front of a city hall. I don't know about you but I would feel really uncomfortable doing that. Second of all, if you are under the age of 17 you can do this. What difference does it make if you are 18, by the time you are 17 you are pretty much all done growing and I think if you can do it when you are 17 might as well do it when you're 18. Also another one of my favorite dumb laws would be in Campaign, one may not pee in his neighbor's mouth. Well, WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO. That's disgusting for both people involved it this. Also if the people really wanted to pee in each others mouth why would you stop them, let them be dumb together.  Like I'm just thinking how many people actually did this just to break the law... ewh.

Week 27: So Many Mistakes

My favorite mistake would probably be eating all unhealthy up until around summer of my 8th grade year. Without me eating all of this unhealthy food I would still probably be fat, because I wouldn't have wanted to work out. By having my bad eating habits it overall changed me as a person and made me a better athlete in my opinion. Because I wanted to lose weight, I started working out with Mason and changed my eating habits as we went along. As we trained I ended up toning up, getting some muscle and made myself have a runners core. Even though my chubby stage is hysterical to look back on now, I'm actually really glad I did go through that. Plus now when I look at junk food  it doesn't faze me, which is going to benefit me when I get old. My body will be healthier and hopefully I will still have my runners core hahah

Week 26: Operation Save the Rabbit

So were on a mission and we have to save the Easter Bunny right now. So I quickly put together my rescue team which included Becca, Trenten, Taylor, Noah, Tyrus, and myself. Our plan to get past the leprechauns is to split up into 3 groups. The first group Taylor and Noah are going to take the leprechaun's hats and run away. Then the door to where the Easter Bunny is located will be open. Group two then Becca and Trenten will break the lock on the door and bust it open. Groups three, Tyrus and myself will be the lookout for when the leprechauns come back. We were hoping the wouldn't come back, however they did and that meant Tyrus and I had to ninja kick them until they couldn't fight anymore. Since Tyrus is such a great soccer player he kicked more people than I did, but in the end we ended up defeating all the leprechauns. Our mission was a success and now the Easter Bunny can proceed on with his life and we can have Easter again.
